Practising a traditional dramatic art form that dates back several centuries, performers at the annual Lim Festival in the Bac Ninh Province converse via a specific style of Quan Ho folk singing. The songs are incredibly complex so performers need to have a good understanding of the style and posses a quick mind to be able to compose and deliver their lines according to the strict rules of the style. Wearing the traditional Quan Ho clothing, the festival is a spectacular sight and offers a great introduction into this fascinating custom.
