12/01/2009 - 12/31/2009Frost Fair
London,
United Kingdom
For centuries, the severe winters would freeze over the River Thames and people would take to the ice. The Bankside Frost Fair was re-established in 2003 to celebrate this history and culture of the area. This London award-winning festive event is now claimed to be London's largest free winter festival. Expect husky dogs, street entertainers, carol singing, mulled wine, roast chestnuts and a winter market with 40 stalls and plenty of Christmas gifts for sale.
