Whisky Magazine began by staging Whisky Live events in Tokyo, London, Paris, Cape Town and Johannesburg and now whisky has returned to its rightful home in Glasgow with this popular annual event. Thirty-odd distilleries bring their best bottles to give visitors the chance to sample whiskies voted as the world's best by professional tasters, or to attend master classes to learn the secrets of Scotch from distillers and blenders. Whisky recipes and cooking demonstrations also feature, and a party mood is maintained with live music and regular competitions. And if whisky isn't your tipple, there are also a selection of fine beers and cocktails to try too. There's also a games area where visitors can take a break with a game of cards, backgammon, table football or giant jenga.
