Poppy Day falls on 11 November each year and, on a Saturday evening around this date the St David's Hall in Cardiff hosts the Wales Festival of Remembrance in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Welsh male voice choirs take the stage, along with the Band of The Welsh Guards and a cast of guest stars. The festival, to remember those who served in the First World War, always sees a massive turnout of military, ex-service, civilian and Royal British Legion units along with the Corps of Drums of the Royal Welsh Regiment.
