Each summer the beautiful island resort of Phuket hosts its annual Halal Food Hilal Town Fair. Visitors of all faiths and nationalities are welcome to attend the event which aims to promote tourism and the region's readiness to cater for the special dietary needs of visitors who observe a halal diet. In addition to a great range of food, visitors can also enjoy a wide ranging cultural programme that includes traditional folklore, storytelling and dance
