One of the biggest events in the province, the Kalasin Prae Wa Silk Festival is a cultural event that showcases the expert silk work of the Phu Thai settlers, who are the descendants of Vietnamese immigrants. The festival is a huge affair in the Kalasin province and opens with a large and lavish ceremony and procession. Events include numerous competitions, exhibitions, cultural displays and traditional song, dance and musical performances
