Famed for the quality of its silk, Thailand has long been associated with fine silk products. Each year, Khon Kaen, a major silk producing region in Thailand, hosts the Silk and Phuk Seow Festival which celebrates the art of silk weaving and sericulture. The festival lasts for 10 days during which visitors can enjoy numerous exhibitions and displays detailing how the silk is harvested and turned into fine clothing and other items. There are also numerous opportunities to buy silk made products.
