    International Travel:

    Main Airports
    Memphis International Airport (MEM) (website: www.mscaa.com) is 16km (10 miles) southeast of the city (journey time - 20 minutes). To/from the airport: Taxis and hotel shuttles are available to the city center, as is the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) local bus, which departs near Terminal C. An out-of-town shuttle bus operates from the airport to Arkansas (Little Rock and Jonesboro) and to Mississippi (Oxford). Facilities: ATMs, business
    service center and car hire.

    Nashville International Airport (BNA) (website: www.nashintl.com or www.flynashville.com) is located 13km (8 miles) southeast of the city. To/from the airport: The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) bus 18 leaves the airport. The Anytime-Transport Shuttle Service (website: www.anytimetransportshuttleservice.com) runs to destinations in suburban Nashville, Middle Tennessee, and Bowling Green (Kentucky). Limousine services, car hire and taxis are widely available. Gray Line operates a van service to hotels in central Nashville (journey time - 30 minutes). Greyhound operates services to Fort Campbell, Knoxville and Memphis; the Express Shuttle service travels to Chattanooga; and the K-Town Shuttle serves Knoxville.

    Domestic Airports:
    Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (CHA) (website: www.chattairport.com), 5km (3 miles) east of the city, serves the greater Chattanooga area including southeast Tennessee, north Georgia, and northeast Alabama. To/from the airport: Taxi and limousine services are available. Facilities: ATMs and car hire.

    McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) (website: www.tys.org) is located 7.5km (12 miles) south of central Knoxville. To/from the airport: Limousines and taxis are available at the airport; the Airport Express Shuttle provides connections to the city center. Facilities: ATMs and car hire.

    Getting There by Rail
    Memphis and Newbern-Dyersberg, on the Chicago–New Orleans line, are the only stations on the national Amtrak rail network (tel: 1 800 872 7245; website: www.amtrak.com). Nashville and Chattanooga have connecting Thruway bus services (operated by Greyhound) to Atlanta, which is on the New Orleans–Washington, DC–New York City route. Car hire is available at the Memphis station. The Tennessee Valley Railroad runs a 10km (6-mile) round trip from Chattanooga.

    Getting There by Road
    Bus: Greyhound (tel: 1 800 231 2222; website: www.greyhound.com) is the main service provider, with bus terminals at Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis and Nashville.
