This contemporary performing arts festival presents an outstanding programme of works by drama and dance companies from all over the world. Performances take place in various locations in the Landiwiese area of town, with venues ranging from intimate theatres to open-air shows on the shores of Lake Zurich. The first Zurich Theatre Spectacle was held in 1980 and has grown to become one of the most popular theatre festivals in Europe, attracting theatre and dance aficionados from all over the world every year.
