Each summer, Zurich is marked by the coming together of the three main art institutions (opera, concert hall and art gallery) to build a cultural extravaganza. Recent festivals have featured Bruckner symphonies in the Tonhalle, operas by Verdi and Puccini at the Opera House, Anne de Keersmaeker's dance project at the Theaterhaus Gessnerallee and Robert Lepage's multimedia performance of 'Far Side of the Moon', at the Schiffbau Theatre. Jazz, art and literature also find a place among the range of cultural venues across the city.
