Since 1987 publishers, writers and bibliophiles have been drawn to Geneva's annual book fair. Now held at the Palexpo Exhibition Centre, some 120,000 visitors browse their way through more than 300 stands exhibiting books in many languages. This is truly an international event with a very cosmopolitan following. Many authors are in attendance to launch, discuss and sign their books. There are exhibitions, readings, poetry events, debates and other sideshows to keep visitors entertained and stimulated.
