Attracting participants from over 40 countries, the Stockholm Marathon sees competitors make their way around two laps of the course that runs through the centre of this fabulous city. Starting and finishing at Stockholm Stadium, this is one of the most popular sites for spectators to soak up the fun and excitement of this popular event. Open to runners over the age of 18, the Stockholm Marathon was first held in 1979 and today attracts approximately 17,000 participants and several hundred thousand spectators.
