From a single day to a full fortnight, almost every town and village on Fuerteventura puts on a show over the carnival season in February and March. The biggest and liveliest of the lot are in Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo. A range of cultural, sporting and musical events take place, but the high spot in each case is the costume parade which includes decorated floats accompanied by dancers and drums.
