Every town and city in Spain celebrates the day of its patron and in Toledo this is 'La Virgen del Sagrario'. Old customs are practised and flowers are offered at the image of the Virgin in the cathedral. Alongside, bottles are arranged, from which it is believed those who drink will be in receipt of miraculous favours. On the day of the fiesta there are musical concerts, sporting events, dances and fairground rides.
