There is more than just livestock at this annual shindig. The Rand Easter Show has become one of the biggest events in South Africa, attracting around 500,000 visitors a year. A vast purpose-built showground has exhibition halls, arenas, an amusement park, kids' zone, food court and a monorail. A shopping spectacular heads the show with 30-plus product categories including motors, boats, home improvements, caravans and furniture. Agricultural traditions are maintained with show jumping, dog shows, cattle, goat and sheep competitions. Music, entertainment and sports events are also on offer.
