10/01/2009 - 11/30/2009Singapore Open (golf)
Singapore,
Singapore
The Singapore Open is Asia's richest golf tournament. It offers players the chance to play for prizes totalling millions of dollars on Sentosa island's par-71 Serapong course, seen as one of the most challenging in the region; the course's long rough has been the undoing of many a good player in previous tournaments. Sentosa island is also one of the few places in Singapore where visitors can quickly move from the city to the relative tranquillity of beaches and lush tropical gardens.
