Open to amateurs and professionals on any type of sailing boat, the Seychelles Sailing Cup is a fantastic celebration of island life and boating. Each boat is given a rating and is measured under two classifications - both real time and compensated time with only the compensated time being used for the final classification and place allocation. The cup involves a number of different events including races between buoys, races between the islands, set courses and game fishing contests. This is a truly spectacular event which sees a mix of catamarans, monohulls, maxi yachts, and traditional rigs racing across the beautiful waters off the Seychelles. The inaugural Seychelles Sailing Cup was held in 2006.

The boats set off from Lemuria Resort then make their way around the islands including Silhouette, Ile du Nord, Praslin, La Digue, Curieuse, Denis Island, Bird Island and Mahe
