Taking place each August, the popular one-day trolling tournament (where numerous baited lines or lures are towed behind a boat) attracts competitors from across the region. Boats set off before dawn and do not return to shore again until the evening so participants are guaranteed a full day's entertainment on the beautiful waters of the Indian Ocean. This is a popular event that attracts many local fishermen as well as the odd international guest.
