Join revellers on the streets of Lisbon to welcome in the New Year with a series of parties and celebrations. There are parties in many bars, restaurants and clubs throughout the city, but one of the main events takes place at the Torre de Belem where there is live music, dancing, a light display on the Tejo and a spectacular fireworks display on the stroke of midnight after which DJs play sets keeping crowds entertained into the small hours.

Hours: Events at the Torre de Belem begin at about 2200 but visitors are advised to get there early to get a good spot.
