6/01/2009 - 7/31/2009Warsaw Mozart Festival
Warsaw,
Poland
In 1991, to mark the 200th anniversary of Mozart's death, the Warsaw Chamber Opera performed all 26 of the great composer's stage works. The Mozart Festival has run every year since then, to worldwide acclaim. Mozart's complete stage output is performed for each edition of the festival, together with a selection of his chamber, symphonic, and vocal-instrumental works. His best-loved operas, including 'Don Giovanni', 'Le Nozze di Figaro' and 'Cosi Fan Tutte' are the subject of multiple performances over the month-long festival. The Warsaw Chamber Opera is the only company in the world to have Mozart's entire operatic output in its permanent repertoire and this is the world's largest event of its kind.
