Always taking place on the first Sunday after 8 May, the St Stanislaw Procession is a gathering of Poland's cardinals and bishops who follow the relics of the country's patron saints from the Wavel Cathedral to the Skalka sanctuary. This is a big religious festival in this predominantly Christian country, and thousands of devotees join the procession every year.
