Toronto's annual International Festival of Authors is a literary treat that caters for both adults and children. Held each October since 1978, it attracts leading authors from around the world including past winners of the prestigious Man Booker Prize and the Orange Prize. In addition to well-established writers, the festival also shines the spotlight on new and up-and-coming talent from around the world with particular focus on young contemporary writers. The festival has a great family feel and, as well as fiction, focuses on other genres such as poetry, drama, biography and children's stories.
