2/03/2008 - 2/03/2008South Canterbury Busking Festival
Waimate,
New Zealand
Street performers converge on the Edwardian country town of Waimate for the South Canterbury Busking Festival, a great day out which attracts some 5,000 visitors. For one day only, the town is filled with an international cast of performance artists, both stationary and roving, including acrobats, comedians, mime artists, contortionists, dancers, escapologists and fire eaters to name but a few. Between side-splitting and heart stopping acts, visitors can browse a variety of market stalls selling crafts, plants and designer products, or stop for a bite to eat at one of the many international food stores on the square
