1/01/2010 - 1/31/2010Organic River Festival
Levin,
New Zealand
Celebrating the Good Life in idyllic natural surroundings, the Organic River Festival is a weekend of organic lifestyle and food, alternative technologies, creative arts and music. Jugglers, fire tamers, buskers and children's entertainers play a role too, ensuring that the spectrum of entertainment involves everyone, thus helping to celebrate community spirit and commitment to the true meaning of organics. Surrounded by native trees and flanked by a river with beautiful swimming holes, the site is far removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life and provides opportunities to taste gourmet organic foods and wine, with family and friends beneath the summer skies. Thirty hours of live bands provide almost continuous entertainment, and there over 150 craft and natural product stalls, as well as about 25 talks and seminars to fill the weekend.
