There's a summer of family fun to be had at Paihia, a seaside resort town spread along the Bay of Islands. Monster mural painting, a sandcastle competition, the Waitangi mystery trail, a kid's fishing competition, a walk through Paihia's history, a fun sports challenge and tall tales and legends storytelling at the town library are just a few of the fun activities on offer over the festival period. Barbecues and entertainment add a social dimension to several of the events.
