Some 12,500 participants and 150,000 spectators are expected to take part in what is billed as the greatest annual one-day sporting event in Eindhoven. The start line is in Willemstraat and the two-circuit-course of 21.1km (13 miles) winds its way through the traffic-free city centre, with many broad and straight stretches of road. The Eindhoven event coincides with the Runnersfestival, which features more than 50 musical attractions along the whole course.
