Over one September weekend each year, the streets by the Westkerk church in the artisan's quarter of Jordaan are transformed into an open-air party venue which attracts ever-bigger crowds each year. A flea market and auction by day, the festival features music performances on stage by drum bands and local groups. An enthusiastic following of Dutch partygoers sing along to their favourite artists and enjoy a generally good time in this popular canal-side district.
