    Visas
    Not required by all nationals referred to in the chart above for stays of up to 90 days for tourist purposes only; for stays over 90 days nationals should apply for a temporary residence permit one week before the 90 days expire.

    Most visits to Montenegro are trouble-free but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate international terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners.

    Health Care
    Doctors are well trained but medical facilities are limited. Many medicines and basic medical supplies are often unavailable. Hospitals usually require payment in hard currency. Prescribed medicines must be paid for. Health insurance with emergency repatriation is essential. Visitors may be asked to pay first and seek reimbursement later. Pharmacies are open Mon-Fri 0800-2000 and Sat 0800-1500.
