A marathon run over three sections in two days, it allows a good opportunity to see a bit of the island, for both runners and spectators. The event usually takes the following route: an 11km- (7 miles) circuit from Rabat; a 6km- (3.75 miles) circuit including Birzebbugia; a 25km- (15.5 miles) coast run from St Paul's Bay to Valletta.
