Labuan,
Malaysia
Held each September, the Borneo International Yachting Challenge is a Category 3 sailing event, catering to five categories of boats - racing, cruising, sports, classic and ocean multi-hull. The highlight of the 5-day sailing festival is the 100-nautical mile Labuan to Miri Passage race in which crews race against each other in a bid to complete the run in the quickest time (the fastest boats usually make the journey in around 20 hours). In addition to the racing, there are plenty of activities and events in the areas around the harbours.
