Held each June in the pretty town of Trakai just outside Vilnius, visitors are transported back in time at the lively Medieval Festival. The prime focus of the fiesta is knights' fights with swords, bats and battleaxes. A fun street market offers visitors the chance to buy traditional food and drinks typical of that era and a number of craft stalls sell locally-produced handicrafts and souvenirs.
