With the eternal shape of Mt Fuji in the background, the Daimyo Gyoretsu Parade brings to life the experience of travelling the Tokaido road back in the days of the shoguns. The daimyo (feudal lord) is accompanied by nearly 200 retainers on his journey from his fiefdom to Edo (modern Tokyo) where he will make his obeisance to the shogun himself.
