Jerusalem,
Israel
Christians from all over the world travel to the ancient city of Jerusalem to celebrate Christmas Eve in this incredible city that is home to so many biblical sites. Perhaps the most famous of them all is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which is believed to have been the site of Jesus' crucifixion. Other biblical sites in the city include the Church of John the Baptist, Via Dolorosa, the Garden Tomb, the Condemnation Chapel, the Chapel of Flagellation, the Grotto of the Apostles and Mary's Tomb. Numerous churches and religious sites in Jerusalem hold services throughout Christmas Eve with midnight mass services being particularly popular and an incredibly moving way to see in Christmas Day. One of the world's most significant religious cities, Jerusalem is important to all three main monotheistic religions - Christianity, Judaism and Islam
