The show at the Clifden Showground is the largest display of the famous Connemara Ponies anywhere in the world. Over 400 ponies from all over Ireland are on display at the show which is attended by international societies, overseas breeders and industry experts. Visitors to the show come to see this magnificent breed compete in trials and competitions after which they are judged and sold to traders. The show has a long and prestigious history dating back to 1924 and attracts pony enthusiasts from all over Ireland as well as overseas.
