The annual Rice Harvest Festival celebrates the end of the harvest season and is a joyous occasion and a great time to be in Bali. It is dedicated to Dewi Sri, the 'Rice God', and farmers offer thanks and praise for a bountiful harvest. Visitors to festivals will be able to try a number of regional dishes which are cooked in honour of the Rice God.
