Cattle fairs are big business and popular social events in many parts of India and the Nagaur Fair in Rajasthan is one of the biggest of this type in the country. It's an incredible spectacle and visitors to the fair will see thousands of cows, horses, bulls and camels herded from miles around to be displayed and traded. It's a serious business as traders and buyers bargain hard for prized animals with Nagaur bulls being particularly valued for their strength and fitness. A carnival atmosphere accompanies the event with food and drink stalls, a bazaar, traditional music, dance and storytelling shows and the colourful spectacle of horse and camel racing
