Mewar Festival is a Hindu religious event that welcomes the arrival of spring and coincides with the Ganguar festival. Devotees sing, dance and attend religious ceremonies as part of the celebrations. It is also a time for Rajasthani women to dress up in their finest clothes as they parade through the town carrying images of the goddess Gauri.
