Guam Shopping & Guam Exchange Rate

There are many shopping centers in Agaña, Tumon, Tamuning and Dededo that offer an array of retail items. The main malls include the Hagåtña Shopping Center and Guam Primium Outlets. Micronesia Mall has recently undergone expansion and has the distinction of being the island’s first indoor mall. Most hotels in Tumon Bay have a lobby arcade and other specialty shops within walking distance. Dededo flea market is held every Saturday and Sunday at 0600. The Islands’ duty-free status means that name brand merchandise are often less expensive than their country of origin. Good buys in Guam include watches, perfume, jewelry, alcohol, china, stereo equipment and cameras.

There are numerous US and international banks on the island.

Credit/Debit Cards and ATMs
Most major credit and charge cards are widely accepted on Guam. ATMs are available at the airport, some hotels, shopping malls and grocery stores. Cirris, Plus and Star allow international financial transactions.

Traveller's Cheques
Traveller's cheques are accepted. To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travelers are advised to take traveller's cheques in US Dollars.
