Subtitled 'Rediscovering Treasures', this project offers visitors a very special history presentation. Historical sites (such as Bad Gandersheim's magnificent collegiate church) are utilised to take visitors back to the time when the town was a religious focal point of northern Germany. At the heart of the exhibition is the ecclesiastical treasury, not previously available for viewing. This includes rare relics, altar furniture and precious textiles. Different historical buildings are used to bring a remarkable range of themes to life with guided tours, presentations and exhibitions. These themes include the roles of imperialism, art, and women during the Middle Ages.
