Taking place each February, the main event of the popular festival is the procession of floral floats and "flower battles" which sees budding gardeners try to outdo each other with evermore spectacular floral displays. Flowers, as you may have guessed, are a particular passion in the region and a great source of pride for locals. During the event visitors are invited to explore the picturesque Provence region on a number of guided walks and coach rides. There is also a whole raft of food events, craft markets and a cinema programme with a particular focus on children's films
