Every year thousands of snowboarding enthusiasts descend on the beautiful mountain resort of Les Deux Alpes for Le Mondial du Snow (The World of Snowboarding). Wrapped up in the latest snowboarding gear, the trendy crowd come to cheer on competitors in competitions that include free runs on the slopes and freestyle tricks on manmade arenas. The event has a youthful buzz and attracts an ever-growing crowd of snowboarding fanatics as well as a few celebrities. A large projection screen in the Marquee shows the latest ski and boarding films. Experts are on hand to offer advice and tips and visitors also have the opportunity to try out and buy the latest snowboarding fashions and gear at the trade expo. The event is followed the next weekend by Le Mondial du Ski (The World of Skiing).
