7/01/2009 - 7/31/2009Marseille International Documentary Festival (Festival International du Documentaire)
Marseille,
France
Showcasing the very best in documentary films from around the world, the festival in Marseille is one of the biggest European events on the documentary filmmaking calendar. And newly introduced in 2007, the festival now also screens a small selection of fiction films. Featured films are often followed by informative Q and A sessions with the director allowing industry professionals and the general public a rare opportunity to gain a greater insight into the films. Visitors can also enjoy a little pomp and ceremony as filmmakers sweat it out to see who will be awarded one of the prestigious prizes as voted for by a panel of industry experts.
