Bristol,
United Kingdom
Founded in 1982 by Sir Peter Scott and held in association with WWF-UK, this biennial film festival is dedicated to the many wonders of the natural world. In addition to screening groundbreaking films, the event is also a meeting place where people can make contacts and learn more about the various wildlife and environmental groups that attend the festival's trade fair. Experts in the field are on hand to lend support and advice to aspiring filmmakers at masterclasses and workshops. The Panda Awards are to wildlife films what the Oscars are to Hollywood blockbusters and add a little pomp and ceremony to the occasion with awards for the best wildlife and environmental films from around the world
