7/01/2009 - 7/01/2009Formula 1 - British Grand Prix
United Kingdom
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone has been called the spiritual home of Formula 1 Grand Prix racing, and it draws some of the largest crowds of all the Grand Prix events. Few other events match the intensity and atmosphere of the British Grand Prix. Silverstone is the UK's only round of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The historic circuit staged the first-ever British Grand Prix back in 1950 and remains the home to this country's most spectacular annual motor sport showpiece.
