To celebrate Christmas and help us to understand the festive traditions of old, each year the 12 period rooms at the Geffrye Museum are decorated in authentic festive styles providing a unique glimpse into Christmases past. The exhibition explores the origins and meanings of some of our more common customs ranging from kissing under the misltetoe to decorating Christmas trees. Popular with young and old visitors alike, this fun and informative exhibition is a great way to get in the festive spirit
