This well-attended music festival has a strong folk tradition and attracts an older crowd than your typical music festival. Nonetheless, they can party with the best of them and this is a great event to experience traditional folk bands from around the world. The festival is hosted at four venues - two of which are at the festival campsite which tends to host the bigger name bands. The other two venues are a short drive away and tend to provide a stage for the lesser-known performers and many of these concerts are free of charge. The event has been held over the last weekend in June every year since 1971.
