Situated on the southern side of the Troodos mountain range, the picturesque Krassochoria region is located midway between Limassol on the coast and Nicosia to the east and is known as a great wine-growing region. Many of the villages preserve the old wine-making traditions and each September they hold the Krassochoria Cultural Festival to celebrate the end of the grape harvest. The main villages in the region include Omodhos, Arsos, Pachna, Kilani and Vasa
