Zagreb Baroque Festival (ZABAF) serves up a feast of baroque music, including the works of great masters as well as those of rarely performed Croatian composers. In the spirit of the Zagreb Summer Festival, ZABAF presents a very different programme, based not on current trends in culture, but in a desire to excite interest in early music and its proper performance, to unearth the secrets of baroque and to revive its traditions. Performed in some of the most atmospheric venues in the city, the music takes its audience on a journey through time, employing period instruments and authentic interpretations dedicated to the historic and musical peculiarities of the baroque genre
