Animafest Zagreb is one of Europe's longest-running festivals that celebrates animated film. The organisers reckon that this is the friendliest gathering place for filmmakers and fans of all different genres and categories of animated film. Throughout the festival week, the art and production of animated film are promoted through various perspectives, with an emphasis on the output of European filmmakers. Recent productions, retrospectives and film competitions are prominent in a programme which also includes exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions and other related events.
