Travelers are advised against all but essential travel to the Pool region, as there is sporadic rebel activity there. This includes using the Brazzaville-Pointe Noire road and railway.
Travelers are also advised against all but essential travel along the Ubangi river in the Likouala region, where the river forms the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Health CareMedical and dental facilities are generally very limited outside Brazzaville. Health insurance is essential. Medicines are in short supply and it is advised that visitors bring their own medicine, with official labels, into the country.
Note* A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for all travelers over one year of age.
